Samantha is a GIS Analyst/Cartographer working out of Stillwater’s Arcata office. Since moving to Arcata in 2020, she’s earned her M.S. degree in Natural Resources Management with an emphasis on Wildlife at Cal Poly Humboldt and completed the university’s requirements for an Advanced Certificate in GIS. Samantha also has field experience that has primarily focused on avians, such as work with passerine banding, raptor surveying, and seabird monitoring. She loves that GIS is a powerful tool for analysis and decision-making, as well as for communicating results and telling important stories. She is excited to have found a company that blends her passions for GIS and natural resources management. In her off-work time, she enjoys pottery, baking, camping, traveling, and listening to audiobooks.
