The Stillwater Community
At Stillwater Sciences, we bring our passion for science and engineering to our work and seek out projects and issues that require integrative approaches and expertise to solve. In the workplace, we foster a culture of respect and inclusion that allows us to find joy in and be proud of our work and our communities. Stillwater is striving to continually challenge ourselves to create more environmentally and socially responsible community partner. Our vision, as prioritized within our Strategic Plan, is to build on meaningful contributions within our company and our communities to promote healthier and more inclusive environments. Our goals are to increase our involvement in our local communities, encourage and support staff volunteerism, reduce Stillwater’s environmental footprint, and seek out and support local underserved communities and nonprofit organizations.
Stillwater continues to identify ways to decrease our carbon footprint both within our offices and while community to field sites. This includes purchasing carbon credits to offset our carbon footprint.
Stillwater scientists work with schools and educators to bring science into classrooms and summer learning programs.
Stillwater is actively working towards creating a more inclusive, equitable, and diverse workforce. We are identifying ways that we can contribute to promoting diversity and inclusion in our local communities, with a focus on outreach to young scientists and engineers, particularly those in underserved and/or minority communities.
Stillwater staff stay connected and engaged in the communities in which we live and work. This has included volunteer work such as beach clean-ups, food banking, and community education.
Each year, Stillwater donates 1% of our profits to local charities, as selected by Stillwater staff from each of our nine offices. To date, we have supported 130 organizations.
