Rob Thoms
Botanist & Ecologist
Rob has more than 15 years of experience performing floristic surveys, plant monitoring, vegetation classification, and habitat mapping to contribute to scientifically-informed land management for conservation and stewardship of plant resources. His range covers the west coast from Seattle to Los Angeles and inland to the Intermountain West and the Sierra Nevada. Rob was born and raised in northern Wisconsin, where his daily playground was a muskeg and open bog of floating sphagnum with deciduous conifers and carnivorous plants, and he continues to be excited to explore the flora and ecology of everywhere he goes. When not at work, Rob enjoys gardening, cooking, dancing, backpacking, and playing in a variety of artistic media.
