Rae is a restoration engineer with over seven years of professional experience, including four years of river restoration and flood recovery work in Colorado. Rae’s design philosophy is that human interests are ultimately best served by a healthy and functioning ecosystem, and respect for natural processes is essential to achieving desired design goals. Rae joined Stillwater in 2020 to expand our restoration design capabilities with her strengths in project design and implementation. Her specialized experience includes processed-based channel design, geomorphic assessment, construction documents and specifications, floodplain development permitting, and construction oversight. Rae has strong skills in CAD, GIS, 1D/2D hydraulic modeling, and coding. Rae’s communication and organizational skills are a strong asset on interdisciplinary project teams and projects with complex stakeholder frameworks. In her free time, Rae enjoys riding (and sometimes racing) road and mountain bikes, attempting to garden, and spending time outdoors with her husband and baby boy.
