Patti Wohner, PhD
Quantitative Ecologist/Biometrician
As an applied quantitative ecologist and biometrician, Dr. Patti Wohner has extensive experience creating and implementing advanced analytical tools to address challenges in conservation and resource management. Her specialization lies in the structured decision-making process, where she provides leadership to stakeholder groups and develops comprehensive system models. Patti’s technical expertise includes Bayesian hierarchical modeling and modeling the population dynamics of fish, birds, and invertebrates. She recently completed a four-year postdoctoral position at Oregon State University, where she focused on building decision support tools that help managers optimize restoration efforts and reduce key uncertainties in complex riverine systems. While her career has largely centered on avian ecology, she is a versatile and systems-oriented scientist. In her free time, Patti enjoys the challenge of bouldering.
