Nancy is passionate about strengthening watersheds and supporting community arts. Although her academic background is in archaeology, her career took a different direction shortly after she moved to Arcata when training on identifying salmon redds changed the course of the next 20 years. The group’s enthusiasm for wild salmon and healthy rivers made a lasting impression and sparked a connection that has shaped her work ever since. When she’s not negotiating contracts, Nancy is likely traveling, backpacking, or planning a fun community event or festival.
