Naivy Dennise Rodal-Morales, PhD
Environmental Engineer
Dr. Naivy Rodal-Morales specializes in freshwater water quality, limnology, reservoir management, mercury biogeochemistry, and wetlands ecology. She is originally from Mexico City, where she received her B.S. in Geological Engineering from UNAM. She moved to California to pursue her Ph.D. in Environmental Systems with an Environmental Engineering concentration at U.C. Merced. Dr. Rodal-Morales’ dissertation research focused on water quality and mercury remediation techniques in both a lake-like and a wetland-like environment. Additionally, she earned a Master’s Degree in Environmental Systems, where she modeled nutrients removal in a constructed wetland.
