Karen is an Office Administrator with a B.A. in Geography from the University of South Florida, with an emphasis on transportation and environmental geography. She worked as a cartographer after graduation for the Tampa Tribune and had an internship at the Northwest Florida Water Management District in Tallahassee. Karen joined the team in 2024, and while it took her a while to get back to her roots, she feels like she’s come full circle now that she is employed with Stillwater Sciences.

In her free time, Karen loves being with nature and loves all animals. She has 4 dogs and a cat of her own. She loves taking her senior dogs to the beach and has been known to rescue her share of seabirds. She is an amateur nature and pet photographer and never leaves her house without her camera.
