Carina Bilodeau

Botanist and Plant Ecologist

Carina is a botanist and plant ecologist with the Berkeley office. She has experience identifying native and invasive plants from the northern Sierra Nevada through southern California. Before coming to Stillwater, Carina worked as a restoration ecologist in Santa Barbara and a forestry research crew-lead carrying out forest inventory protocols and assisting with prescribed fires in the Sierra Nevada. Having grown up in the East Bay Area and Indonesia, Carina has a love for local flora and fauna, as well as a deep interest in getting outside her ecological comfort zone. This interest, and the recent fires in California, convinced her to get a Masters of Forestry at UC Berkeley where she studied the restoration of giant sequoias and their survival through wildfire. When not at work, Carina enjoys mountain biking, backpacking, painting, reading, and cooking.

Education: M.S., Forestry, B.S. Environmental Studies
