Kaila joined Stillwater in 2025 as a Botanical Technician. She has a B.S. in Environmental, Earth and Soil Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) and a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, also from Cal Poly. Her thesis work focused on rockfish habitat associations and the influence of fishing pressure. She is passionate about fisheries biology and conservation. Kaila’s other interests include rock climbing and reading.
