Staff Engineer
Kayla Schultz is a River Engineer with a deep love of the natural world, who aspires to be a steward of the environment through her work. She grew up in Colorado, and attended Colorado State University where she earned both her B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering. Her graduate research emphasized river mechanics and stream restoration, with a particular focused on quantifying changes in floodplain connectivity following the loss of beaver dams in Colorado headwater streams. She also has experience working on road, trail, and drainage design. In her free time, Kayla dabbles in hiking, skiing, running, crocheting, and line dancing, and she loves spending quality time with friends.
