GIS Technician/Cartographer

Abby joined Stillwater in early 2024 after moving to the Bay Area from Phoenix, Arizona. She earned her B.S. in Conservation Biology and Ecology followed by an M.S. degree in GIS, both from Arizona State University. Her background includes a variety of environmental GIS roles, including wildlife biology, soil research, and water management. Abby also has varied field experience conducting avian, herpetological, and vegetation surveys as well as soil and vegetation sampling. She loves using GIS as a tool to visualize data and answer complex questions to solve environmental issues. She is excited to be pursuing a role aligned with her passions and interests, including amphibians, fish, and phylogenetics. Outside of work, she loves enjoying the outdoors through hiking, kayaking, and tidepooling as well as reading, traveling, and live jazz.

Education: M.S., Geographic Information Systems, B.S., Conservation Biology and Ecology, Minor in Literature
