Cheri’s professional background spans published writing, nonprofit leadership, and small business ownership. Motivated by an interest in environmental challenges, she pursued studies in the environmental field. In 2024, she graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in Conservation and Natural Resources and a B.A. in English. At Berkeley, her research focused on ecological and public health effects related to wildfires. Most recently, she worked as an environmental protection specialist with the federal government, where she was trained in environmental laws and regulations, reviewed environmental documentation, and collaborated with state and federal partners. Cheri loves nature, travel, live music, museums, writing, good food, and spending time with family and friends.
