Scott is Senior Technical Specialist with Stillwater working out of our Portland office. He is passionate about building and leveraging partnerships to achieve innovative and enduring conservation outcomes. Scott’s work focuses on helping clients navigate complex environmental compliance issues and facilitating consensus-driven solutions to complex natural resource challenges. Scott has a BS in Biology with a Marine Emphasis from UCLA and a PhD in Biological Oceanography from Scripps Institution of Oceanography where he studied the impacts of oceanographic features on krill recruitment dynamics. Scott brings a wealth of scientific, policy, and management experience, having served 24 years with NOAA Fisheries in a variety of technical, regulatory, and senior leadership roles. In his free time, Scott is an avid SCUBA diver and underwater photographer, salmon angler, and loves exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife, two adult kids, and exceedingly fluffy Bernese Mountain dog.
