Jody Lando

With a strong foundation in field ecology and quantitative sciences, Jody brings more than a decade of practical experience to study design, project implementation, and innovative analyses of complex environmental issues.  She bridges the gap between science and policy to effectively resolve natural resource management challenges. Skilled in both theoretical and applied ecology, Jody is able to synthesize physical and biological data to appropriately examine ecosystem dynamics. Her work explores factors that limit population viability, simulates the probability of future conditions, and identifies the information needed to improve watershed management decisions.  Jody has conducted a broad range of field studies ranging from aquatic, riparian and upland surveys, to wetland delineations and species surveys (amphibians, mammals, birds and fish).  When not crunching numbers or conducting field studies, she enjoys family adventures, continues to work on the “green” remodel of their 1960’s atomic ranch (rancho lando), and dreams of returning to the rainforests of Papua New Guinea.
