Glen has a background in fluvial geomorphology, geology, and environmental hydrogeology. His experience includes hillslope and river morphology investigations, watershed assessments, physical modeling experiments, and GIS and numerical modeling. He has worked on various projects throughout California and Oregon that have focused on assessing hillslope erosion rates and processes, sediment delivery rates, sediment transport through upland and lowland floodplain stream channels, alterations of watershed hydrology resulting from land-use development, and restoration of salmonid and delta smelt habitat. He has worked on physical modeling experiments of fluvial systems to guide future river restoration and specifically focused on the influence of variable flow and flood events below dams on stream channel morphology.
