Megan’s expertise includes ecosystem restoration design, monitoring of wetland and riparian ecosystems, special-status plant species research and surveys, invasive plant surveys and assessment, and wetlands delineation.  Megan has led revegetation design and monitoring efforts along the Sacramento River; conducted extensive floristic surveys across California and the Pacific Northwest, including the San Francisco Bay-Delta region, vernal pools of Santa Rosa, lower montane regions of the Cascade and Sierra Nevada ranges, and the McKenzie River in central Oregon; and prepared local, state, and federal environmental permit applications for a variety of restoration and levee repair projects.  Outside of work, Megan enjoys brewing her own beer, painting, cooking, and backpacking through forests and rivers.
